““Let all on earth worship and sing praise to you, sing praise to your name!” Psalm 67:4
What better way to look at a Monday and start a week than by praising our God?
At a church we recently attended they had a man at the side of the altar ‘translating’ the word into sign language. I was captured by the fact that even to the deaf, even in the silence of this silent language, God is glorified.
We think so often that we must loudly shout out our praise to God. But, this moment in this Mass, God put on my heart that He is glorified in all things. God is praised when we sing out with PraiseNation PGH at a festival of praise. God is praised in a newborn’s cry. God is praised in tears at a Catholic funeral. God is praised when we sit in the pre-dawn morning in silence. And, yes, God is praised in the deaf man who lifts his eyes and heart to God in faith.
This realization brings some of my favorite of God’s words to mind. ““Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” Psalm 46:10
Glory to God in the highest!
