Praise Monday – Broken Things

Spread the love

“I will praise you, Lord my God, with all my heart and glorify your name for ever” Psalm 86:12

What better way to look at a Monday and start a week than by praising our God?

The pages of the Bible and history are full of examples of God using the least of these to accomplish His Glory. From Joshua to Moses to David the shepherd, through Peter, all the way to the young virgin girl, Mary. He has made use of Faustina, and Therese of Lisieux, God doesn’t call the qualified and great but instead qualifies the called and makes them great in His Kingdom.

I understand the lowliness and wretchedness I am before our great God. And, yet, He chooses to use me. He chooses to use you! My favorite line of this song brings this feeling and wisdom to light in my soul.

Now I’m just a beggar in the presence of a King
I wish I could bring so much more
But if it’s true You use broken things
Then here I am Lord, I’m all Yours

“I will bless the Lord at all times;
his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
My soul makes its boast in the Lord;
let the afflicted hear and be glad.
O magnify the Lord with me,
and let us exalt his name together!” Psalm 34:2-4
