Perfection (journal prayer)

“You therefore must be perfect as your Heavenly Father is perfect” Matthew 5:48

How? Perfect?!? Really, Jesus l? Perfect, me? You know I am a sinner, far from the perfection of which You speak. This isn’t a fair request by You, Lord.
Because of who and what I am, I will trust in Your Grace and Mercy as my only hope. I know I can’t do meet that standard alone, so I ask You to perfect me. I know this isn’t a request, but that it is a demand that You make to me. I fall upon Your Grace to lift me, I know if You are making this request, You will make it possible. Your home is light.
So, if this is something that You demand of me, You will carry my imperfections upon Your cross, remove them and bury them so that filled splits Your Divine Mercy, I can be what the Father desires. Perfect as He is Perfect.

I know for me to join You in union with the Trinity, this requirement is non-negotiable. Nothing that isn’t perfect and holy can stand before the Father in Heaven.

So, Lord, I stand before Your Mercy Throne and trust in You to cover me in Your Precious Blood, Mercy’s Blood from Your pierces heart that I may not be judged for my failures but loved for what I am, what You made me in Your sacrifice and Divine Mercy.

Heavenly Father, Papa God, see me through Your precious Son’s eyes of Mercy and judge me based on Your Divine Mercy. Fulfill Your Divine Will in me that I someday stand and praise confidently in praise before Your Holy Throne.

“(the soul) reaches out for God with all its might, but it feels like a baby; it knows that this is not within its power. Therefore, God descends to the soul and unites it to himself in a way that… here, I must be silent, for I cannot describe what the soul experiences.“. Divine Mercy in my soul # 767
