“I know your works. Look, I have set before you an open door, which no one is able to shut. I know that you have but little power, and yet you have kept my word and have not denied my name.” Revelation 3:8
The Bible tells us that God put us here on earth to love Him and honor Him.
We need to honor God in all our lives, in our family, in our work, in our relationships, when in Church and alone. When we win, we honor God. When we lose, we honor God. In good days and the most horrible of days, we honor God. That also means that when we lose we honor God. In all things and in every way, honor God.
“with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
We are all called to the impossible – to become saints. Great and mighty saints. Yes, each and every sinner walking or even crawling along the Road of Faith. God has set before us an open door, a door that Jesus Christ pried open and the Holy Spirit holds ajar. God the Father has set mercy’s door open and nothing can close it. It is impossible that any sinner can stand before God on his own. It is impossible for us to have the strength and power to climb to the sanctified heights to reach God’s throne. Or is it?
You tell me, what is impossible with God? What is there in all creation that God in His Infinite Power can’t accomplish? What sinner upon his knees cannot find mercy before the cross of Jesus? Nothing is impossible with God! That is an absolute that each of us can totally depend upon.
“With God all things are possible” so that even a sinner can become a saint. Nothing is impossible when His Divine Mercy is let through the open door of a heart. We need to trust in our Heavenly Father through the power of Jesus’ cross, the merciful waves of blood and water that flow from His Sacred Heart and the love and guidance of the Holy Spirit. And, when fear comes upon our heart whispering that a soul’s sanctity is impossible, we need to close our eyes and reach up our hands trusting in the Father to lift us. We need to believe God will lift us and carry us through the open door of His Divine Mercy. For nothing is impossible with God.
Go to the Sacrament of Reconciliation as a sinner and come out a saint, then, tell me, what is impossible with God?
