Bringing the gospel to the ends of the earth that God’s Will be done to all the people.
Our whole mission summed up in the Great Commission Jesus gave to us – “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you” Matthew 28:19-20
Do you desire God’s Kingdom to come? Every time we pray the Lord’s Prayer this is what we are asking for. “The Kingdom come, Thy Will be done, on earth is it is in Heaven” Matthew 6:10.
This should be the greatest desire of all Christians. Maybe in a sense, this should be our only desire. If we live our life and treat our brothers and sisters and all man – even (especially) those who hate us – with the desire to bring God’s Kingdom to earth, we will be dealing with all in God’s love and mercy.
God’s Kingdom is a kingdom of love and mercy. This isn’t some nice place to go with waterfalls and fluffy clouds. It isn’t some vacation spot. The Kingdom of God is more than any of us could dream of.
“Eye has not seen, ear has not heard, and upon the heart of man has not come up that whichGod has prepared for those who love him.” 1 Corinthians 2:9
We need to do more to bring the Kingdom of God to earth than just pray these words. God wants action from each of us. Look at the Great Commission. He didn’t say pray for the Father to bring the Kingdom, Jesus used action verbs “go”, “make”, “baptize”, and “teach”.
This Commission and Divine Mercy devotion is a clarion call to action. If we desire to bring the Father’s Kingdom to earth soon, go. Go and meet our fellow man on The Road of Faith upon which they walk. Go off the beaten path to find the lost sheep and lead them to the Road of Faith. Teach them to see and recognize God by your love and mercy toward them and others around you. Help them open the eyes of their heart and break through the stony walls surrounding those hearts.
This is how WE will bring God’s Kingdom to earth today. Don’t wait. Be the next St. Patrick and go to those who have held you down, tell them of God and give them your heart of conversion. Maybe you won’t convert all of Ireland as did Patrick, but maybe your call is only to bring one person to God. That is as big a victory as Patrick’s.
