Not Any More

Spread the love

“where sin increased, grace abounded all the more,” Romans 5:20

Meditating on God’s love as the sun slowly rises this morning, Jesus approaches me, “My Son, I love you.” “Depart from me, You don’t know me, what I’ve done. How, Lord, could you forgive me any more? I can’t see how You could love me any more.” God answered immediately, “You are right, I could not love you any more than I do right now. My son, look at the cross, look into My eyes, put your hands in My side. Gaze upon My Sacred Heart and know the truth of My love. I could never love you more than I do now.

“The greater the sinner, the greater his right to God’s mercy,” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 423

Have you ever felt the weight of your sin? Pressing down and crushing you. The whispers of the enemy telling you that you could never be loved now. Look up on top of Golgotha, the cross sits there adorned with the blood of Jesus spilled to show that He could not love you any more than He does now. Look at the spear laying on the ground, covered in the blood and water that flowed from the Sacred Heart of Jesus, showing the level of His love for you right now. Step behind the locked door, see Jesus coming out of the darkness to show His love for you. Now hush and listen to His words as God whispers in your ear that He couldn’t love you any more than this.

God created you, God calls you from darkness, Jesus redeemed you. Upon the cross Jesus showed His love for you. God the Father calls your name, your name. Pointing at the empty tomb, Jesus reminds you that hell itself cannot stand between you and His love. No matter what, God knows your name and calls you from the darkness. Even in the deepest sin, Jesus says your name as He calls you, like Lazarus, from the tomb.

Just come out to the Light. Reach out to Him and know that it is truth, He could never love you more, His love for you is beyond any comprehension. It is the love of the cross, it is infinite from when He first called your name til He calls you home and forever more.

“But now thus says the Lord, he who created you, O Jacob, he who formed you, O Israel: Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you. For I am the Lord your God, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior.” Isaiah 43:1-3
