“When you make his life an offering for sin, he shall see his offspring, and shall prolong his days; through him the will of the Lord shall prosper. Out of his anguish he shall see light; he shall find satisfaction through his knowledge. The righteous one, my servant, shall make many righteous, and he shall bear their iniquities. Therefore I will allot him a portion with the great” Isaiah 53:10-12
By Your pierced hands, You call me to reach other hearts in need. By Your pierced brow, You call me to think of others over myself. By Your pierced feet, You call me to walk a mile in my brother’s shoes. By Your pierced heart, O Jesus, You call me to love like You do.
“If you keep my commandments, you will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Father’s commandments and abide in his love. I have said these things to you so that my joy may be in you, and that your joy may be complete. “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” John 15:10-13
When you look at the crucifix, think of His passion or meditate upon the Image of Divine Mercy, do you see the mission in which Jesus calls you?
Read John’s Gospel to know what Jesus commands, even more than the Great Commission if I dare say. Because, the great commission can only be achieved by realizing what Jesus is saying in John 15.
“…with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 950
