Once the castle is built and the King enthroned upon the heart, it is time for the soul to build upon the cornerstone that is Christ Jesus. Trust in His presence and love is the key to making the castle impenetrable.
Meditate on trust, build up the walls of faith and strengthen your castle. Trust is the bricks within the walls of faith, His Love and Mercy is the cement. Trust comes more easily when the soul knows that it’s King is always present and leading it towards victory.
When the soul understands Jesus’ sacrifice for it, the soul will come to see the how beautiful of the love of the Lord. Love so grand that He will NEVER let it be defenseless and never defeated. He sacrificed way too much to ever allow that to occur.
“Deal with Your servant, according to Your steadfast love, and teach me Your statutes. I am Your servant, give me understanding” Psalm 119:124-125
“Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” Psalm 119:105
Sometimes the soul has to walk through a desolate or even dark night in order for the Lord to be able to effectively pass His teachings in a manner the soul can grasp. The soul whom the Lord loves will always be defended, that is a key to understanding God’s love and from that comes trust.
I look look back and marvel that the Lord would have so much faith in me as to allow me to enter that dark night of the senses, that period of desolation. He knew this was a a necessary process in my growth and a key test in my lesson on trust. His silence was deafening in my soul. Looking back, I know the Lord May have been silent and allowed me to ‘walk alone’ through this darkness but His lamp was always lighting the path on which my feet tread. This dark night is told in my book, ‘I knew His Voice’, but only within the moment. It took several years of His teachings for me to understand the full story of what He was doing in those days.
My faith became a strong fortress when I realized the vastness of God’s Love and that even in the darkest hour, He is always shining a lamp – to shine the lamp upon my path, meant that He is close enough for the light to be seen on the pathway.
“I have heard and I believe, Your Commandments I will keep. It is You my heart seeks” lyrics from ‘Your Love is Wonderful’ by Joe Jacobs.
