I found this prayer in one of my older journals. It was written during a time of internal struggle and challenges. In the depths of the dimmest days of the dark night of my soul when all I remember is dimness of faith I wrote this prayer. I was surprised to find this in the midst of what I thought was nothing but darkness and faith blindness.
I now have it as a centerpiece of my daily prayer routine. It shows that even when we find ourselves in struggles both physically and spiritually, God is moving within our heart and mind to draw us ever closer to Him. Jesus continually strives to teach us Who the Father is and point our minds, hearts, and souls to Him.
If you are on the peak and pinnacle moment of faith, I pray you rejoice deeply in this closeness. I pray that if you find yourself in a challenge, you see the opportunity God presents to draw nearer to Him. Look beyond the moment to see the timeless God. Even in the darkest hours, Light shines up one you.
Lord Jesus Christ, I know I have sinned and done things against You. I want to turn away from sins and what is wrong in my heart. I want to go where You go in the future. Thank You for dying on the cross for me that my sins may be forgiven. I beg You, Lord, to come into my life this day, come as my Savior and Lord. Be with me forever.
This day and everyday I renew my commitment to you, Jesus, as my Lord and Savior. I know I haven’t always been able to live up to my commitment but those failings don’t change the desire in my heart that You be my Savior. In fact, those times of failure just confirm my need to have You as my Savior.
I ask You continue to pour in Your Spirit to my soul. I trust You.
Take me where YOU know is best. I trust You.
Guide me along roads that lead to You even if through the dark valley. I trust You.
Draw me close to You. I trust You.
Forgive my sins, Lord, lift me up and form me into the saint Your Heavenly Father created me to be.
I need You desperately now and always and I give myself fully to You starting now, again. I trust in You Lord and knowing You want my heart I give it to you now simply asking in return that You come into my heart and fill it with Yourself
Through the intercession of the Immaculate heart of Mary
Amen
Thank you Ed.
Keeping this prayer. It is great for Adoration!
