“‘Do not be afraid; for see—I am bringing you good news of great joy for all the people: to you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, who is the Messiah,[a] the Lord. This will be a sign for you: you will find a child wrapped in bands of cloth and lying in a manger.’ And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host,[b]praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest heaven, and on earth peace among those whom he favours!’ When the angels had left them and gone into heaven, the shepherds said to one another, ‘Let us go now to Bethlehem and see this thing that has taken place, which the Lord has made known to us.’ So they went with haste and found Mary and Joseph, and the child lying in the manger. Luke 2:10-16
Today is a day of gift giving. This morning, two millennia past, the greatest gift was given us by God Himself. The Lord of Lords lays in a manger, wrapped in swaddling. Today we celebrate the birth of Christ our King. Today we celebrate the birth of Mercy Himself.
“…is time for you to take action; I am with you. Great persecutions and sufferings are in store for you, but be comforted by the thought that many souls will be saved and sanctified by this work”. Divine Mercy In My Soul # 966
Not all days ahead are joyous. Laying just ahead is the feast of the Holy Innocents. Ahead lays the passion and crucifixion of this baby. Not days of celebration but ones that are attack against the faith, against the Man and His followers. But this is a time to take action. We can’t let fear of these future events coming against us hold us back from sharing this message.
“Write: before I come as a just Judge, I first open wide the door of My mercy. He who refuses to pass through the door of My mercy must pass through the door of justice” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1146
Today a manger swings wide the door of Mercy. How will you react? Will you become the gift of mercy to another soul? They’re praying for you to come and unwrap the gift of the King of Mercy. Mercy is a gift that gives for eternity.
Merry Christmas Road of Faith!
You are such a blessing to me in my faith journey.
May all God’s blessings and grace fill your hearts and lives with so much joy that thankfulness pours out through your lives in abundance. I pray for each of you that all God’s graces pour through you as conduits of Divine Mercy.
“The true light, which enlightens everyone, was coming into the world. He was in the world, and the world came into being through him; yet the world did not know him. He came to what was his own, and his own people did not accept him. But to all who received him, who believed in his name, he gave power to become children of God” John 1:9-12
Merry Christmas and a blessed New Year!
