“Why are you afraid? Do you think that I will not have enough omnipotence to support you?” Divine Mercy in my soul #527
“‘Though the mountains be shaken and the hills be removed, yet my unfailing love for you will not be shaken nor my covenant of peace be removed,’ says the Lord, who has compassion on you” Isaiah 54:10
Covid-19 has turned the world as we know it upside down. So many things in our lives is not what we consider normal.
Look at the news and see a world in a state of panic – the stock market seems to be unable to stop its fall, many people are facing being out of work, businesses are closed, schools are out, and apparently, you can’t buy toilet paper anywhere.
The days we’re living in are so uncertain.
God is not surprised by what is going on in the world or in our lives. He is truly our Rock!
“O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer, my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” Psalm 18:1-2
To find peace in these unsettled times put your trust in the Rock – His Name is Jesus Christ.
“Jesus l trust in You”
And in these words, the Lord reveals the secret at the core of the Divine Mercy devotion – we need to approach the Merciful Lord “with trust”. Trust is the ‘key’ which unlocks the vaults of Divine Mercy. And the greater our trust, the greater the graces the Lord grants.
“The graces of My mercy are drawn by means of one vessel only, and that is – trust. The more a soul trusts, the more it will receive. Souls that trust boundlessly are a great comfort to Me, because I pour all the treasures of My graces into them.” Divine Mercy in my soul #1578
So in moments of fear, rest upon the Rock. Lean against His knee, look into His eyes and repeat “Jesus I trust in You”. Let the Rock then rest on you.
