Spread the love

“Eternal God, in whom mercy is endless and the treasury of compassion inexhaustible, look kindly upon us and increase Your mercy in us, that in difficult moments we might not despair nor become despondent, but with great confidence submit ourselves to Your holy will, which is Love and Mercy itself”. Divine Mercy in my soul #84

I found the Divine Mercy through St Faustina ‘by chance’.  There is nothing by chance. The day I found St Faustina and the Divine Mercy devotion, I was set free and given incredible strength and power.  I went from a 95 lb weakling standing on the beach as the enemy kicked sand in my face and in a moment became more powerful than Superman. Not because of my power but because of my trust. I walked out of darkness and into power.  If you’ve seen Superman, you know he obtains his power from the sun. We are no different, we receive all our immense power from the Son. I surrendered all my fears in faith, I surrendered.

He is always giving me more strength as I’ve walked through storms.  The only kryptonite is fear.

I faced terror several years ago with my daughter lying in a hospital bed on a ventilator.  The doctors told me ‘it is a severe struggle to keep her stable’. I nodded and walked into her room.  With tears rolling down my face, I lifted my hands over her and prayed, “Jesus, I trust in You. I believe Your promises.  Father, I surrender, this is Your daughter and I am blessed to be Your mirror of dad to her. I surrender her future to Your hands…’.  I felt the fear wash away in an instant.

Have no fear, trust!  Trust is power, trust in Jesus.  In the darkest storm, He is looking for us to lift our eyes and reach out to Him, to call upon His power.

Do you know any storms right now?  Look out your window into the world and see one raging.  But, have faith for Jesus has overcome all in His victory.
