Do you long for God this strongly?
The souls in Purgatory suffer most from their intense longing for God. They know they will see His Face but no matter what they do now, His Presence is just out of reach.
Is your soul now in a purgatory of sorts? Do you long so much for God’s presence that it hurts?
Look to Mary for refreshment. “The Star of the Sea” understands your desire. No one has given more of themselves to God than the Blessed Mother. From Gabriel’s proclamation to Calvary and the tomb and until today, she desires nothing more than to serve and be with her Son and the Trinity. She knows the soul’s longing. When this souls cries out, Mary brings refreshment. She may even bring her Son to share the Living Water that they may be strengthened for the continued journey.
Either way, it you feel this long desire, as much as it hurts to be separated from God right now, know He is always near. Know the Blessed Virgin Mary is always there. Both giving refreshment for the Road of Faith.
