Let’s Fish

Spread the love

There are only so many hours in the night, let’s fish!

Speak to the world about My mercy; let all mankind recognize My unfathomable mercy. It is a sign for the end times; after it will come the day of justice. While there is still time, let them have recourse to the fount of My mercy; let them profit from the Blood and Water which gushed forth for them.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 848

I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19

Jesus has spoken very clearly through the ‘red words’ written in Holy Scripture, through the saints and through the Divine Mercy devotion, time draws short – the night is not long.

He has also called each one of us who believe in Him to tell the world of His great Mercy.

It is time to fish!

“I will make you fishers of men”, gather as many as you can, I will sort them out”

We have celebrated Easter and Divine Mercy Sunday, we have been set free by Jesus’ sacrifice and resurrection, we must tell the world of our joy.

Fishing doesn’t always take great skill. Often, the most successful fishermen just cast the bobber and baited hook into the water, then sit back and wait for the bite. So, if you don’t think you are skilled enough to be a ‘fisher of men’, think again.

You have been touched by Jesus’ grace. You recognize it and accept it. Just “put out into the deep” and cast your net over the side. The miracle of a filled net isn’t up to the fisherman’s skill but is made by the Lord. He will fill your net. Just cast and be ready to pull in a bountiful catch.

Not sure what to do with the catch once you have it in the net? Just listen to Jesus, He will send the Holy Spirit to give you the words to say. He will also plant the seed of faith in the heart of the person to whom you are speaking. Remember, Peter and the apostles started out just by listening to the Lord before even telling anyone what they heard. The eunuch on the road had nothing but desire to start with.

Just be willing to tell how Jesus touched your life – through light and darkness. That more than grand apologetics will entice the soul to bite.
