Don’t let a frozen heart hold you back from experiencing God fully. He wants….burns…His Sacred Heart burns hotly for love of you. Why does the soul hold back from grabbing onto God with both arms? Why do so many hide from Him?
The fear of the angry, vengeful God is planted by the enemy through the world – misinterpretation of the Old Testament, twists of the family and blindness in the world at large. Jesus told St Faustina that His Heart burns and suffers from those with hardened hearts. “The loss of each soul plunges Me into mortal sadness.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 1397
He is coming as the Merciful Savior! It doesn’t matter to Jesus what you’ve done before (or tomorrow), He wants to forgive and pour His Divine Mercy into your life…YOUR life. Yes your sinful, ‘can’t forgive me’ life. You just need to turn to Him with a heart of forgiveness, a contrite heart. And, then open the floodgates of Heaven and let the Mercy falls fall upon you.
The question comes down to one of simple trust. Do you believe in God? Do you believe His message in scripture? If you do, then don’t dare say your sins are too bad, too dark, too repetitive to be forgivable. “…the greater the misery of a soul, the greater its right to My mercy; [urge] all souls to trust in the unfathomable abyss of My mercy, because I want to save them all. On the cross, the fountain of My mercy was opened wide by the lance for all souls-no one have I excluded!” #1182 “Were a soul like a decaying corpse so that from a human standpoint, there would be no [hope of] restoration and everything would already be lost, it is not so with God. The miracle of Divine Mercy restores that soul in full. “ #1397
So Trust in Jesus and let His mercy melt the ice of your heart – then live fully in the love of the Father. Let His love wash over you and make you new. Open your soul to let Him be everything to you. Let the heat of His love and mercy melt your heart…and for the guilt of that sin, let it go!
