Judge or Savior

Spread the love

Write: before I come as a just Judge, I first open wide the door of My mercy. He who refuses to pass through the door of My mercy must pass through the door of My justice.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1146

“Do not say, “I have sinned, yet what has happened to me?” for the Lord is slow to anger! Do not be so confident of forgiveness that you add sin upon sin. Do not say, “His mercy is great; my many sins he will forgive.” For mercy and anger alike are with him; his wrath comes to rest on the wicked. Do not delay turning back to the Lord, do not put it off day after day. For suddenly his wrath will come forth; at the time of vengeance, you will perish.” Sirach 5:4-7

I had a discussion on salvation with a man several years ago. I told him that now was the time to repent and turn back to God. He pulled the repentant thief card, saying, “I have time, God will forgive me, if He is as merciful as you claim.”

Yes, no doubt God’s Divine Mercy eclipses everything. His mercy is beyond any thing we can ever understand or grasp. But, make no mistake. Time to ‘take advantage’ of His merciful love is not infinite. There will come a time for all souls when we will stand before God. The thief on the cross next to God had committed horrible sins, deserving of his death. But, he waited so long to repent that even hanging to Jesus’ right, he couldn’t turn his heart to God.

Take the time now – don’t wait for Easter or Divine Mercy Sunday. Take the moment now to repent. Now! Then, run to Him in the confessional. Like He was on the cross, Jesus waits for and immediately forgives the repentant soul. He turns to God the Father begging forgiveness and wrapping the soul in the blood and water flowing from His Most Sacred Heart. Jesus’ love hides the soul from the wrath of God.

““I Myself will defend as My own glory, during their lifetime, and especially at the hour of their death, those souls who will venerate My fathomless mercy.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1225

There is no better way to venerate God’s Divine Mercy than to turn to Jesus as the Merciful Savior – now.

Don’t put it off. You might find yourself suddenly surprised, standing before the ‘Just Judge.”

Turn to the Savior now.
