“Conversation of the Merciful God with a Sinful Soul. Jesus: Be not afraid of your Savior, O sinful soul. I make the first move to come to you, for I know that by yourself you are unable to lift yourself to Me.”
“who, though he was in the form of God,
did not regard equality with God
as something to be exploited,
but emptied himself,
taking the form of a slave,
being born in human likeness.
And being found in human form,
he humbled himself” Philippians 2:6:8
We need God – “I stretch out my hands to you; my soul thirsts for you” (Psalm 143:6). God knew we couldn’t reach high enough in any state, especially lost in our sinful places. He knew the only hope of aching mankind was that He come down to our level. That He come to a place to which we could reach our hands to His.
I know on Christmas, we stand before Jesus Christ as a baby, but, we need to come to Him as little children. I love the “Little Flower’s” thoughts on this. She talked about trusting the Father, lifting our hands above our heads that He will lift us to great heights.
“When they saw that the star had stopped, they were overwhelmed with joy. On entering the house, they saw the child with Mary his mother; and they knelt down and paid him homage.” Matthew 2:10-11
The awe of Christmas needs to be brought to life within the soul again. The soul of man and of the world alike. Look around during this season, something is in the air. Even the pagan seems warmer and kinder. The coming of Jesus to the earth changes everything. He changes hearts and souls of even the most hardened sinner.
Now is the Christmas to let this little baby, Jesus Who is fully King of Kings, change your heart as His Divine Mercy flows directly from His throne through the manger and into your heart.
Jesus made the first move and the biggest, He then set a bridge that is the cross to span the distance so we could come into the presence of His Father and ours.
