In Mercy – Find strength

Spread the love

“Praise be to the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, my fingers for battle. He is my loving God and my fortress, my stronghold and my deliverer, my shield, in whom I take refuge, who subdues peoples under me.”  Psalm 144:1-2

O Jesus, Your Love and Mercy defend me.  The words of Psalm 144 show us that YOU are my shield, me Deliverer, my Fortress and my Safeguard.  There is no doubt of that – these words are fact and should be irrefutable in any heart.

You, in Your Divine Mercy, teach me how to fight the battles here on earth.  When the fight comes at me, I take up Your Chaplet of Divine Mercy; Your Divine Mercy Itself is my sword and shield.  I am armed with Your sorrowful passion and Holy Cross. I am armored in Your Precious Blood and Mercy pouring out from your pierced heart.

Jesus defend me always, I pray, that I may not be overcome by the battles I face.  But, that I valiantly stand strong with You. Always having the faith of heart to give You praise and honor through my deeds, words and prayers.  I pray that Your Glory always shine through as a bright light to draw hearts from the darkness of fear and sin back to You.

I gave You, my Lord, all that I am, all that I do and all that I pray for Your glory.  Lord, I know in this vow I can only stand true through Your Power and Grace, for I am weak.  But I know that You Lord will lift me from all that I may shine in Your Glory.

Lord, I pray You give an overflowing of Your Grace, peace and Divine Mercy to all who join me in this prayer.  I especially pray for all those souls suffering from Coronavirus whether ill themselves or through a loved one.  Wash them clean in Your Almighty Power, make known to them Your Divine Mercy in their moments of fear and worry. Wrap your loving motherly arms about all your children in need through these scary days, My Mother.  Mary, Sorrowful Virgin, you watched your Divine Son’s passion and death, through this teach us how to pray in our darkest night.

We ask this all through the Sovereign Power and Majesty of our Lord, Savior and King, Jesus Christ.

Amen

“Day after day, night after night, I will remember, You’re with me in this fight. Although the battle, it rages on, The war is already won. I know the war is already won, Surely my God is the strength of my soul. Your love defends me, Your love defends me. And when I feel like I’m all alone. Your love defends me, Your love defends me”.
