“Today bring to Me the souls who especially venerate and glorify My mercy, and immerse them in My mercy. These souls sorrowed most over My Passion and entered most deeply into My Spirit. They are living images of My Compassionate Heart. These souls will shine with a special brightness in the next life. Not one of them will go into the fire of hell. I shall particularly defend each one of them at the hour of death.” Day 7 of the Novena of Divine Mercy
Throughout her Diary, St. Faustina recorded promises Jesus made not only to her but to those who would pray to, promote, and trust in Divine Mercy.
We who walk on this Road of Faith should be counted among those souls who especially venerate and glorify Divine Mercy. We have each felt the touch of His Divine Mercy. Some may have recognized it in full, others may have only a faint recognition within their heart of this Merciful Gaze. Whether you understand that you’ve been immersed deep within the ocean of Mercy or are still learning and coming to recognize the touch of Mercy, we have all been touched by Divine Mercy.
We are all called to be apostles of Mercy. Whether you’ve received an official call from Jesus as St. Faustina did or a calling as I did from St. Faustina to join her. Just by receiving Divine Mercy, we become apostles of Mercy.
We don’t go forward as apostles of Mercy for the assurance of Jesus’ defense at the hour of death. We go forth trusting Jesus has us covered to bring others to that same trust.
Go make disciples of Divine Mercy!
