“You cost Jesus too much….“
I sat this morning praying that God forgive and look past all my sins and see the man He created me, the saint inside. The man covered in the blood of Jesus’ mercy from the cross. And, God responded, “I love you for who you are. I know what you’ve done. Despite your sins and crimes against my holiness, my Son begged My forgiveness for you.” “But, Father, in so many of my sins I knew what I was doing. I knew they were sins against You.”
“Father, forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing” (Luke 23:34)
Falling to my knees, I throw my hands out, “Father, forgive me.” Then, deep inside, I hear, “I know you’ve sinned and I know you’ve lied. And I have watched you suffer all of your life. Now, that you’ll listen I’ll tell you that I love you for you, not for what you have done or what you will become. I simply will love you for you.”
Do you believe and trust in Christ’s words of mercy? The Bible, especially the Old Testament, is full of the words “His mercy endures forever.” Do you believe that God can and does love you for who you are, sins, scars and all? It doesn’t matter where you’ve been nor how scarlet the sins or even how stained you feel your soul is – ask for mercy and then, open your hands letting it all drop from you. Mercy is yours just for asking. Mercy is enough to make even the blackest soul clean if repentant.
Jesus carried this cross for YOU! Jesus died for YOU! Jesus is just waiting for YOU to ask for and accept His Divine Mercy. Don’t let this moment, this mercy, pass you by.
“You cost Jesus too much….For Him not to love you and give His Divine Mercy.”
