“I Am With You”

Spread the love

“As I was conversing with the hidden God, He gave me to see and understand that I should not be reflecting so much and building up fear of the difficulties which I might encounter. Know that I am with you; I bring about the difficulties, and I overcome them; in one instant, I can change a hostile disposition to one which is favorable to this cause.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 788

Life takes courage! But, in the face of difficulties and challenges, you should not fear. Do the thing that is right and hard, no matter the cost. God is always with you, every step. When having problems, St, Padre Pio said, “I do not know what will happen to me, I only know one thing for certain, that the Lord will never fall short of His promises.”

When you are out to the test, all eyes are on you. Everyone is watching to see how you will react – whether they realize or not. When you’ve professed you areCatholic Christian, people look closer.

In the weeks before my daughter crashed a decade ago, she had been in the hospital for nearly 40 days, same room, same resident doctor. That was odd because usually she’d be in and out of the hospital in days and always have different doctors and nurses. The doctor would come in to check on her daily and end the end of his shift. When she had the seizure that put her in the ICU, he came to me and said, “every chance I get today, I’ll be praying for her.” Strange that he would say that to me. Doctors are often more medicine centered and not often outward of God. Over the years I’ve realized that he said this because of what he saw. Over the month plus, he would come into the room and see me praying over Kristina, see us praying together or hear us taking about God. I never spoke of faith to him, but he saw. Then, that morning, he saw my first reaction wasn’t of panic, but a simple bow of my head. I was terrified but begging God in prayer. The doctor was watching. He saw.

When you are challenged by life, do you remember Jesus is with you and put your head down to move forward? The Lord promised that He will always be with you – always means always. He never breaks a promise.

If anything is taken from my book, this is it – “God is always with you – always.” When the fire gets hotter, He is closer. Keep your eyes and heart and mind on Jesus.
