“The woman said to him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When he comes, he will proclaim all things to us.” Jesus said to her, “I am He, the one who is speaking to you.”” John 4:25-26
This scene is partakes in season one of The Chosen, in episode eight. One of my wife’s scenes. She says it fits our RV lifestyle as we find and worship God everywhere. This scene is shown in John’s Gospel (John 4:1-30).
Jesus comes searching for us. He goes out of His way when necessary. It is the very nature of the Good Shepherd to search for His lost sheep and protect His flock. In the episode, Jesus tells the women, “I came to Samaria just to meet you.”
Jesus speaks the same words to you in this moment. “I came to earth just to meet you.” Stop fighting and arguing as He reveals Himself to be the Messiah to you. As He reveals Himself to be your Messiah.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him may not perish but may have eternal life.” John 3:16
God came all the way from His throne in Heaven where He is praised by legions of angels. He came to a manger to call you from the fields. He came for the cross to call you back home with the Father. He ascended into Heaven to make a place for you, to tell the angel hosts and the Father all about you.
If you don’t know Jesus, sit at the well and look for Him to show up and tell you many things about yourself. He is more than prophet, He is God and knows all you’ve done. He doesn’t tell you your sins to condemn you. Like the Samaritan woman, He speaks to open your heart and eyes to the truth. Now, He looks for your response.
Will you run to tell everyone what He’s done?
“Then the woman left her water jar and went back to the city. She said to the people, “Come and see a man who told me everything I have ever done! He cannot be the Messiah, can He?””John 4:28-29
