How can I endure?

Spread the love

How can I endure? How can I stay strong and true to Your Divine Will, Father? My sin is too strong, my spirit is too weak. You ask me to remain vigilant and pray, but I fall asleep.

“I do not understand my own actions. For I do not do what I want, but I do the very thing I hate. Now if I do what I do not want, I agree that the law is good. So then it is no longer I that do it, but sin which dwells within me.” Romans 7:15-17

Lord, I want to be strong, I want to live in Your grace and mercy, resting always in Your Divine Will. In my weakness I am so weak. How can I endure this fight when the battle is against my very own self?

“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” 2 Corinthians 12:9

The Lord knows our weakness, He knows we can’t follow His Will and give our Yes without assistance. This is what His Divine Mercy and Grace are about. Great graces always pour out from the Sacred Heart of Jesus – amplified through the Immaculate Heart of Mary and her Fiat. God the Father desires to have you near Him – yes, you in the corner too.

God puts forth immense effort in your life to help guide you and strengthen you for your journey on the Road of Faith. Every event of our life is present so that we may grow in faith.

I doze and find myself hiding in the bushes from God’s Will. God walks through the garden that is our life to find us and strengthen us. Times of strife build our strength and endurance more than many others we live through. Anyone in the gym will tell you it takes greater weight then we can easily handle along with repetition to build muscle and strength.

We are not strong enough – yet. But, keep looking toward our coach, Jesus Christ. Keep saying ‘yes, one more’ and press forward. In time, you will find yourself lifting great weights with great strength. You will be jogging along the Road of Faith toward Heaven.

“I will all the more gladly boast of my weaknesses, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.” 2 Corinthians 12:9
