Here Comes the Judge

Spread the love

I gave the Saviour to the world; as for you, you have to speak to the world about His great mercy and prepare the world for the Second Coming of Him who will come, not as a merciful Saviour, but as a just Judge.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 635

I sit here meditating upon the moment of judgment every soul must and will face. That moment when the soul comes before the throne of God to be judged for his eternity.

God is just, and His justice is an indispensable part of His character in the same way that His love and mercy are indispensable. Without His justice, sin would run unchecked. Evil would win. There would be no reward for obedience.

“We will do as we please.” At the moment the soul responds this way to God (aka. sin) the soul has committed high treason against the Creator. Justice demands action. For God to overlook or excuse the treason of sin would not be just. Because God is just, He cannot make a rule, establish the penalty, and then not follow through when the rule is broken. Because God is also love, He had a way to satisfy justice without destroying human beings. Justice required the death penalty for high treason, so something or someone had to die. A substitute was brought in to satisfy the demands of justice.

We could not respect a god who was not just. Micah 6:8 summarizes the top three qualities God wants to see reflected in us: “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the LORD require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

My child, do you fear the God of mercy? My holiness does not prevent Me from being merciful…..My mercy is greater than your sins and those of the entire world.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1485

I was sitting here pondering the implications of facing the Just Judge and my soul trembled in fear. How could I not be found guilty and condemned to hell with all I’ve done? I’m doomed! Woe is me! But, then I remembered, DIVINE MERCY!

My fears and worries washed away as I remembered our Just God died for us to have the Merciful Savior.

Our God is THE Just Judge. But, He is our Merciful Savior. Surrender and trust in Divine Mercy, be washed in the blood and water flowing from His pierced Sacred Heart. Then, when you come before the Judgement, fall humbly to your knees and beg Mercy.

Write that when they say this chaplet in the presence of the dying, I will stand between My Father and the dying person, not as the just Judge but as the merciful Savior.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1541

Before I come as the Just Judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 83
