Jesus said to his disciples: “I have much more to tell you, but you cannot bear it now. But when he comes, the Spirit of truth, he will guide you to all truth. He will not speak on his own, but he will speak what he hears, and will declare to you the things that are coming.
He will glorify me, because he will take from what is mine and declare it to you.
Everything that the Father has is mine; for this reason I told you that he will take from what is mine and declare it to you.”” John 16:12-15
Are you ready to hear God and listen to Him as He speaks to you?
““My sheep listen to my voice. I know them, and they follow me. I give them eternal life, and they will never perish. No one will ever snatch them from my hand” John 10:27-28
This is my favorite and life shaping verse of the Bible. Look at the title and read “I Knew His Voice” to understand what. But, the past months, since being with the Campbells in Florida on their mission, God has put it more center.
The key to not being snatched from Jesus’ hand isn’t difficult. Stay close, listen for His voice, answer when He calls your name. God has so much to share with you. He is burning with desire to share that you would understand.
Are you listening and not hearing His voice? Or maybe you aren’t sure? Turn to the Advocate, the Spirit of Truth. He is here very much to make things clear. He is here that you might hear more. That you might hear His Voice. “Come Holy Spirit.”
“Come Holy Spirit, open my ears that I may hear, and my heart that I may hear.”
God is speaking. Through Holy Scripture, in the Sacraments, Eucharist, Reconciliation and for those married, in your marriage. He speaks through the natural world and in the spirit.
Once you stop, quiet your world and mind and listen, you will begin to hear His voice. Then, you’ll start to recognize His voice.
