“O my Jesus, I implore You by the goodness of Your most sweet Heart, let Your anger diminish and show us Your mercy. May Your wounds be our shield against Your Father’s justice. I have come to know You, O God, as the source of mercy that vivifies and nourishes every soul. Oh, how great is the mercy of the Lord; it surpasses all His other qualities! Mercy is the greatest attribute of God; everything that surrounds me speaks to me of this. Mercy is the life of souls; His compassion is inexhaustible. O Lord, look on us and deal with us according to Your countless mercies, according to Your great mercy.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 611
The soul should focus on the splendor of God’s greatest attribute, that of His Divine Mercy. Mercy opens the door to all graces we experience. Mercy opens the door to Heaven for this sinner.
When we read the Bible, we read of Mercy. When we hear the words of Jesus, we hear Mercy. When we look at the cross, we see Mercy. When we gaze into the empty tomb, we see Mercy.
Mercy is God’s greatest attribute and what He desires most to share. Not just share but to pour out in abundance upon ALL souls. Especially, those souls who don’t know or love God but whom He died for.
Jesus begs each of us to share the news of God’s greatest attribute with everyone. Don’t catechize with rules and laws but with Mercy’s story. It’s simple, go to confession, adoration and receive the Eucharist to know how Mercy feels to your soul. Meditate upon how God’s Divine Mercy became known to you, then, tell your story.
Now…Go! What are you waiting for? Tell everyone of this greatest of God’s attributes.
