Grace abounds in mercy

”Surely the Lord God does nothing, without revealing his secret to his servants the prophets.” Amos 3:7

These days seem dark. The news is filled with violent protests, and angry vitriol gushes forth from all sides of the political aisle. Sin is esteemed in tv shows and commercials and overlooked in sports and stars. Even ‘safe’ shows are sponsored by corporations that exalt sinful ways – filling the shows with the enemy’s agenda and commercials flooded with ‘sex, drugs and alcohol’. It’s more common In traffic to see a finger flashed then a smile. The churches are reopened with crushing rules but so many haven’t returned to the pews. Kids sports and sleep seem more important than spending time with the God of the universe.
“when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?” Luke 18:8

Ugh! All is lost! The end is here!

Not so! “Where sin increased, grace abounded all the more, so that, just as sin exercised dominion in death, so grace might also exercise dominion through justification leading to eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 5:20-21

We need to come to and rest in the Divine Mercy of God!  If we rest in His Mercy, the terrors depicted in the ‘end times’ isn’t terrifying, it is exhilarating because they are not then signs of destruction but are signs that He is coming soon. In ‘Divine Mercy in My Soul’, Jesus didn’t hold back To St. Faustina that the end is coming soon. But, He is withholding His judgment because of Divine Mercy. He told her and each of us, “My hand is reluctant to take the sword of justice. Before the day of justice, I am sending the Day of Mercy.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 1588

If the end days come in our lifetime or a thousand years from now, if we meet Jesus tonight or some long distant day, we need to rest secure in the arms of Mercy. Trust that the absolute last thing God wants to do is condemn anyone. He desires mercy, “the flames of mercy are burning Me, clamoring to be spent” #177. We should not be frightened to meet the Lord face to face. I can only imagine what that day will be like. The one thought that comes to this wretched sinner’s Heart though Is it will be joyous! Wrapped in His Divine Mercy, soaked in the Precious Blood of Jesus, we are redeemed, called, chosen and saints to be.

Let nothing frighten or disconcert you. Remain deeply in My peace. Everything is in My hands”. Divine Mercy in my soul # 219
