God rules – Jesus is King

I don’t normally post two reflections in a day but this was put so strongly on my heart, I know God wants it out now.

“the name that is above every name,
that at the name of Jesus
every knee should bend,
of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth,
and every tongue confess that
Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:9-11

“All the ends of the earth shall remember
and turn to the Lord;
and all the families of the nations
shall worship before him.^[i]
For dominion belongs to the Lord,
and he rules over the nations. To him, indeed, shall all who sleep in the earth bow down; before him shall bow all who go down to the dust,
and I shall live for him” Psalm 22:27-29

“Come to me, all you who labor and are burdened, and I will give you rest, says the Lord.” Matthew 11:28

The Parable of the Great Dinner in Luke 14:15-24

Today on Election Day in the US, the Father is making Himself known. He sees His people fearful of the election outcome, He knows the worry in their hearts and He chooses now to proclaim in today’s Mass reading that HE is God. NO ONE ELSE.

Earthly rulers will come and go. Look throughout history at the kings, rulers, dictators and emperors who reigned, are any still around? No! None but God.

I prayed last night for our country. I asked God, “please, Lord, hear Your people’s prayers! Please guide voter’s hearts to choose life and religions liberty that all unborn may have the right to life and all your people may worship you without fear.” He replied to me, “My son, will you worship me even if things aren’t how you feel they should go? Will you worship me underground and defend life if it is against the law of man to do so? Am I your God no matter earth’s ruler?” “Of course, Lord. I am Yours, tell me where to go and what to say.”

Then, this morning reading the Mass readings with my wife, it was clear that God the Father was telling His Church and people that He alone is Sovereign. The enemy and principalities may have reign for a time but soon, very soon, “every knee should bend, of those in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord,
to the glory of God the Father.”

Do not lose hope or be afraid, today is a piece of the puzzle God is assembling to show His glory and mercy. Today is just a portion of the image He has designed to bring all hearts to Him in joyful worship.

Be strong and brave! Vote for life and then let the rest be in the Father’s hands. He has had this day and these times planned since He brought the light to creation.
