There is not a single moment in which God is not present and active in the world and in our life. There is not a single moment or event of our life that God is not speaking to us.
“I knew His Voice” is filled with both negative and positive events. It was difficult to relive and relate some of the tougher situations my family lived through in the past decade. There have been many challenging times for sure. But, in everything negative, we found a deeper relationship with God. I found a depth of trust that guides my life now.
But, mostly, we found proof that Jesus is present in every moment of our lives, even in today’s world. We found God striving to be heard in our daily trials and our great moments.
When writing this book, I wanted to tell of the miracles that occurred. There is no doubt there are many – God, the Father spoke to me directly several times, Jesus physically visited my daughter on two occasions, He carried her through deep struggles and medical challenges, and for me, most importantly, God healed me.
But, my wife and I came to the conclusion that as powerful as these events and miracles were, the primary goal of “I Knew His Voice” was to show others that God is real and Jesus is present and working in our lives today.
“God is Love”1 John 4:16. Everything we do and experience is through God’s Divine Will. As such, He will never leave us to struggle alone. Jesus promised He would never leave us. He will always help guide us to accept and live in the Father’s Divine Will. A lot of His ministry while on earth was geared to helping us see and accept the Will of the Father.
Look at the story of Joseph and Egypt. What the world would see as evil – his brothers selling him to slavery – God used as good. God used to bring salvation to many. (Genesis 41-45)
