Demons destroy, they seek to corrupt what God creates. Demons are not able to create only destroy and corrupt.
Jesus came in the incarnation in the form of man. God’s greatest creation. On the sixth day after God had made all of creation – the stars and mountains and seas – the He made the culmination of His glory and love, man and woman.
Man fell at the temptation of Satan as he corrupted God’s greatest creation – or, as he seemed to corrupt it. God didn’t wipe away this fallen nature, instead, He used the fallen form to draw His sanctifying grace upon mankind.
We celebrate this great event of love and mercy this weekend. We celebrate the joy of God’s incarnation and affirmation of His presence within the temple which is our soul. Sin and temptation has deformed and twisted how we see ourselves. The fallen angels, demons, have become loud with their whispers that we no longer carry God’s image because we’ve fallen in sin. We need to fix our eyes upon the nativity and Jesus within that we may once again behold the face of God within our own reflection and know that as great as creation is, what God brings us in the Nativity is greater.
This week as we prepare to celebrate Christmas, let your prayer break the chains of sin and generational sin. Let the coming Incarnation of Jesus Christ break all that hold us back and the holds the fallen angels have on our lives. That we may once again know the place we hold in the Father’s heart.
