“I would not have doubted God’s goodness but, without hesitation, would have thrown myself into the abyss of the divine mercy, which is always open to us” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1552
God’s Divine Mercy never started nor will it ever end, the Mercy of the Father is His greatest attribute which has existed as long as He has. This ‘abyss of Divine Mercy’ is ‘always open to us.” We should throw ourselves fully into the arms of Mercy.
We need come to a level of trust that we can throw ourselves fully through Mercy’s open door and confidently in trust walk through to stand before our merciful God, even without being perfect first. We should not wait in fear until we are perfect, but instead present ourselves to the Blessed Mother. She will neaten us up and bring us before her Son. Jesus promises that those who trust in His Divine Mercy will be covered in Mercy and He will stand between God and us. He even promises to defend those who trust in mercy now as His Own Glory.
“Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good. His love endures forever.” Psalm 136:1
This should be reason enough for us to give thanks for Divine Mercy. But there is more!
His promise and nature of mercy is exalted way back in the beginning days. In 1 Chronicles 16:34 it is written, “O give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; for his steadfast love endures forever.”
So today as we give thanks for all the aspects of our lives, remember to give thanks to the Lord for His Divine Mercy. In thankfulness accept that Mercy more fully into your life. That is one of the best ways to show the Father how grateful you truly are. The more we trust God in His Mercy, the more we can accept that mercy , the more we allow ourselves to be conduits of Divine Mercy into his Kingdom (our world) and the more praise and thanksgiving we give back to God.

“Lord, first let me pour out my heart at Your feet in a fragrant anointing of gratitude for the many blessings which you lavish upon me; even if I wanted to, I could not count them. I only recall that there has never been a moment in my life in which I have not experienced Your protection and goodness.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1489
