From among the least

Spread the love

In conversation with Jesus:

“Jesus, Lord, why me? I can’t understand, are there not pure souls who are worth of You?”

Jesus answers, “My son, from amongst the worst sinners, I choose souls for My work. I they accept, I fill them with My grace and Divine Mercy. Then, they will know it is I Who am doing the work through them.

“Lord, how do I prepare for what You desire of me?”

My son,” responds Jesus, “yes, a great battle awaits you. But, do not fear, I am always with you. The battle is Mine and is already won. You can win through the sign of My victory, the cross. When you make the sign of the cross, do so thinking of the Holy Trinity. Make the sign of the cross for each of My wounds, my hands, feet and head which wore the crown, and most especially, My pierced heart through which the Blood and Water flowed with Divine Mercy for all the world.

The Lord Jesus chooses to lift up the lowly to great feats. Look at His greatest vessels of the message – David, the little shepherd who stood before a giant and became king, Peter the fisherman who became the rock, Paul the persecutor who became the great evangelist to the Gentiles.

The greater the sinner, the greater the right he has to My mercy.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 723

God chooses who He will. He calls the lowly and even the worst sinner, that His message may be heard in all corners of the world, not just the high palaces.

I need to learn to not loo at who I’ve been or the great sinner that I still am, but to see myself as an instrument in the hands of Jesus. This is a mighty leap of faith for sure. The enemy never wants a soul to see past its sin. God has already destroyed this sin though. The greatest sinners receive the greatest graces of Divine Mercy, not because we merit them, but, because we need it most.

This prayer conversation comes to me with the peace that Jesus had already taught me to pray in this manner. Several months ago, I realized my Cross of St. Benedict hung in the perfect place for a nightly devotion. I began to pray the “Jesus prayer” while touching each of the Lord’s wounds. As I touched His nail-pierced hands and feet, “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me, a sinner.” Then, His thorn-crowned head, “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me, a sinner.” And finally, the lance pierce and His Holy Heart from which the Blood and Water flowed, “Lord Jesus Christ, have mercy on me, a sinner.”

So, I ask you to join me in this ‘devotion.’ Find a crucifix – better yet, go to www,crossofstbenedict.com and purchase one. Then, follow Jesus’ instructions to me above. Focus upon the Holy Trinity, make the sign of the cross for each of Jesus’ Holy Wounds. Join me in praying the ‘Jesus prayer’ over each wound. This will ring out a brilliant, beautiful chime into the deepest pits of hell. As you are armored in the armor of God.

The battle is joined. Arm yourself with this devotion.

Most dear to Me is the soul that strongly believes in My goodness and has complete trust in Me. I heap My confidence upon it and give it all it asks.” Divine Mercy in my soul # 453
