Forging

“Behold, I have created the smith who blows the fire of coals, and produces a weapon for its purpose…..no weapon that is fashioned against you shall prosper”. Isaiah 54:16-17

A truly great smith uses the bellows with a master’s hand to bring the temperature up to best heat the steel that it can be more easily and completely forged into a great blade, a masterpiece.

When the metal is right, the smith will begin pounding upon the metal. His goal is to knock off the bad material as he shapes it.

The Father is truly THE Master Smith. He is always working to forge and shape the ‘sword’ that is your soul. He will need at times to place the soul within the blazing fire. May even need to raise the heat upon the soul. He will then masterfully work away the bad material, which is sin, to bring out the true shape and strength of the soul.

I look back at my journals and see that my judgment of the failure that night in the ICU a decade past opened my soul to hear the enemy’s whispers of unforgiveness and fear. I let the enemy speak of my failure but God never let go, never stopped forging. My soul was in the forge fire. Now, with these words of absolution and total forgiveness from Jesus Himself, the metal within me was purified. All the impurities the enemy had been highlighting were removed and burned away.

Sometimes the heat may seem too much. A normal smith may burn the metal, but, God is the Master at the forging of souls. He has taken some of the most broken and contaminated material and turned out the most beautiful Saints. From even damaged and ordinary souls, God can forge the greatest of Saints.

Be patient and trust God. Especially when the heat is rising and seems too hot to handle. Your in the hands of the Master Smith and He is creating a masterpiece of you.

““Why are you afraid? Do you think that I will not have enough omnipotence to support you?” At that moment, my soul felt extraordinary strength” Divine Mercy in my soul #527
