Find Peace – Always

Spread the love

“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we won’t be afraid, though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling.” Psalm 46:1-3

There is a depth of peace that can only be found in Jesus Christ. But, to find this peace, you must let go. You must surrender. You must dive into the “Ocean.” You must hide yourself “within Jesus”.

When a child finds that comfortable resting place upon his father’s lap, there is nothing in the world that can intrude, nothing that can harm. This is a solid place of refuge for the child. The child can’t fight the embrace or that refuge is threatened. The child must snuggle in close, feeling the warmth of the embrace. Feeling the heartbeat of his father. Do this and the refuge seems unassailable.

It is the same but bigger with God. When His child snuggles into His lap, the Father becomes a refuge against all struggles – “a very present help in trouble.” You can’t fight His embrace by letting the fears make you jittery. It is then that the soul must trust in the Father’s embrace and love. It is then that the soul sees the length that the Father will go to, has gone to, in order to protect His child.

“though the earth changes, though the mountains are shaken into the heart of the seas; though its waters roar and are troubled, though the mountains tremble with their swelling” be not afraid. Trust in the Father’s love and protection. He is your true refuge. He is your strength to overcome your worries and fears.
