Fearless Faith

“Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23:4

Facing the world, and all the trials of life can make any heart cower. How does fully trusting in God change how a soul reacts the life’s challenges?

Read Psalm 23, especially verse 4, to find your answer. This could end this post reflection with a mic drop, but, anyone who knows me or has followed The Road of Faith knows that’s not me.

We face so many challenges every day. Many will face severe suffering for periods of time while some chosen souls seem to face years or a lifetime of suffering. Wherever you fall along this spectrum, trust in God changes the weight the darkness can press upon the soul.

“The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” Proverbs 9:10

Fear in this statement doesn’t mean to be afraid of God. It means to be in awe of God. Trust in God grows to deeper trust which leads the soul to true knowledge of all God is and is capable of. When the soul knows God, it can only be in awe of Him. Leading back to ‘fearless faith.’ How can a soul who knows God, is in true awe of God and completely trusts God have any fear.

Fearless faith means to know the demons are present, to know suffering is at hand, to know complete darkness and not fear even the “valley of the shadow.” The things one may fear in the physical world have all been defeat by God and live in fear (afraid) of God. The soul waking in fearless faith knows these things may be bigger than it can handle but knows the God Who stands with the soul is bigger than anything. Even Satan himself and death cower before the immense power of God.

This soul stands in the depths of the valley of shadow, even in the total darkness of night in confidence that the Lord is with it.
