Fear nothing

Spread the love

“My Will excludes every fear … Therefore, banish every fear, if you do not want to displease Me.” Jesus to Luisa Piccarreta the Divine Will

Do not fear anything. I am with you. These matters are in My hands and I will bring them to fruition according to My mercy, for nothing can oppose My will. ” Divine Mercy in my soul # 573

Fear is, essentially, a type of blasphemy: for when we willfully succumb to it, we are implicitly accusing God of not having a plan; accusing Him of lacking either Omnipotence or Goodness. Fear is a mere emotion – a mere increase of heart rate, blood pressure, etc., however, is simply a feeling that is not under our direct control, and thus has no intrinsic moral standing one way or the other; Jesus neither rebukes us nor praises us for mere feelings.
Do not fear. “neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.” Romans 8:38-39

Holy fear is the Seventh Gift of the Holy Spirit which is more like reverence and a dread at the thought of one we love being in pain because of our actions, and is not the type of fear I am here admonishing against – but there is an infinite difference between fearing chastisements, death, hell, demons, and Purgatory and simply being zealous and serious regarding them. The latter is always our duty; the former is always a temptation.

If the soul believes in Jesus Christ, there is nothing left to fear. The darkest sin and vilest temptations are washed away with a contrite turn to His Divine Mercy. The Judgment is not to be feared by a heart trusting in His Mercy. Even death should not be feared – ““Where, O death, is your victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”” 1 Corinthians 15:55

Jesus builds upon our soul through the vessel of trust. The more the soul trusts His Presence and omnipotence, the more it is armored against the arrows and attacks of the enemy.

And in this moment of absolute trust, the soul is invulnerable.

This is the moment I found myself in 3 years ago. Standing beside my daughter’s ICU bed, the doctors just told me it was and extreme difficulty to just keep her stable’”. And with a trusting soul, surrendered to the Divine Will and trusting implicitly in His Divine Mercy, I raised my hands over her in prayer. “Thy Will not mine be done, Jesus I trust in You.” At that moment, death’s sting was removed, fear was cast aside and through my tears, peace washed over my soul. I didn’t know how this would end that day, but I knew Jesus is “the Alpha and Omega”. I had nothing to fear.

If you knew what it means to be looked upon by Me, you would no longer fear anything.” Jesus to Luisa Piccarreta the Divine Will
