How can you be of great service to both the Lord and the world? Remain faithful to God’s Word.
““If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you.” John 15:18-19
As faithful Catholics, we must stand against the tyranny of the evil one. We must stand as beacons in the dark night of the world’s agenda.
“Jesus said to him, ‘Feed my sheep’” John 21:17. Jesus said these words to St. Peter as He elevated him to leadership of His Church. He speaks these words today to each and every one of us. But, “people loved darkness rather than light because their deeds were evil. For all who do evil hate the light and do not come to the light, so that their deeds may not be exposed.” John 3:19-20
The sheep of the world need fed. They are starving for light. Did you know that the large majority of Catholics don’t believe the Eucharist is the Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity of Jesus Christ? Did you know that most Catholics don’t go to Holy Mass of partake of the Sacraments of Confession or the Holy Eucharist – some go once or twice a year most don’t even do that. And, for those who don’t go to weekly Mass or the Sacrament of Confession, but still receive the Eucharist on Christmas and Easter, they bring judgement upon themselves by profaning the Body and Blood of Jesus (1 Corinthians 11:27).
Yet, if we men and women of faith speak out against this or the many other blasphemies and heresies of our present world, speaking the truth, we are called radicals and attacked.
Are you willing to stand up anyways? Are you willing to be a defender of that faith, even if it costs you heavily? The world needs men and women willing to speak the truth in faith and love.
“If they persecuted me, they will persecute you…It is to fulfil the word that is written in their law, ‘They hated me without a cause.” John 15:20, 25
We must stand strong and true. Never let your message waiver or strength wain. The world’s outrage may come down upon you, but the face of the Lord will shine upon you all the more. You never know who might overhear your message from the crowd shouting their anger at you. Maybe that person’s heart will be changed.
Be a beacon! Let your faith shine. This is a great service in salvation.
“Do not think that I have come to bring peace on earth; I have not come to bring peace, but a sword.” Matthew 10:34
