Faith on the Road – The Year

Spread the love

The whole of the Christian life is like a great pilgrimage to the house of the Father, whose unconditional love for every human creature, and in particular for the ‘prodigal son,’ we discover anew each day.”  ST. JOHN PAUL II – Tertio Millennio Adveniente, No. 49

I thought we’d finish the year with a look back at all the Churches and locations God took Connie and I to visit. The details and reflections can be found on the homepage of TheRoadofFaith.net by searching ‘extras’ and selecting ‘Faith in the Road.”

This journey along with Faith on the Road has been a very special one this year – across and around the country, 10,000 miles of RV towing. The Lord has taken us to some very special Catholic Churches throughout the year. In each, we found the greatest treasure of all time – the Eucharist. Not all have been beautifully adorned or architecturally grand, but, when the Lord is present in the Eucharist, no cathedral is more grand.

My prayer in sharing our Faith on the Road journey with you is that when you go to some area on vacation or business or whatever leads you, you will be able to use these as a reference to come not as a stranger but as a dear friend. Maybe, with luck, one of these posts will touch you and you’ll support a church with donations.

May 2025 and our journey ahead be always as blessed and open to the Divine Will and guidance of God. We are considering a trip to pilgrimage sites for the Jubilee year.

“God’s infinite goodness in adorning the whole world with beauty in order to make man’s stay on earth pleasant.  O God, how generously Your mercy is spread everywhere, and You have done all this for man. Oh, how much You must love him, since Your love is so active on his behalf.  O my Creator and Lord, I see on all sides the trace of Your hand and the seal of Your mercy, which embraces all created things.” Divine Mercy in My Soul # 1749
