We are at the huge Grand Design RV owners National Rally in Goshen Indiana. Connie and I intended to head to South Bend and the Basilica of the Sacred Heart at Notre Dame. But, a service opportunity came available, so our plans changed and we stayed local for Sunday Mass. This was obviously another time in which God had other plans.
St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church is a large old church with vibrant young priests. The pastor and celebrant for Mass looked to be maybe 30 while the other priest who came to assist with Communion only a few years older. The pastor was very reverent and gave a great homily. We had been sad that the we were to miss the homily series the young priest at the Cathedral in Billings Montana referenced on the Bread of Life discourse of John’s Gospel. But, this priest closed out the Gospel reading with a powerful bookmark. Wow, God!
