St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church is located in St. John’, Indiana – a 95 mile drive each way. Sunday Mass here was the start of a truly ‘wow. God is awesome!!!” day.
Since 1839, this is the 5th church. St. John the Evangelist was built in 2008 – we actually met the architect – who is also their guitarist. We had a great conversation with he and his wife following Mass. A truly blessed encounter for us.
Only the third Church ‘in the round’ we’ve encountered in the past 5 years. The artistry of the construction and beautiful stained glass windows give glory to God.
The music was praise and focused on lifting the hearts of those hoping in the song.
This was one of few instances in the past five years in which the deacon was the homilist – Deacon Ed really inspired in his homily on Luke’s Gospel (13:22:30).

St. Dymphna is the patron saint of mental illness. St. Peregrine is the patron saint of persons suffering from cancer.
Next is our Lady – she is breathtaking under the blue sky.

The original church – now the site of their Perpetual Adoration chapel
