St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church sits in southwest Florida in Naples. A lot of sites to see on this church. Saints lines the walls, and the images of our Merciful Jesus and Our Lady of Guadeloupe sit behind the altar. The stained glass windows tell the beautiful story of our Lord. The pastor’s homily was passionate and outstanding. Her beautiful shrine sits in Emmitsburg MD far to the north and this church does that shrine well.
Elizabeth Ann Bayley Seton is the first native born American to be canonized by the Catholic Church. Seton’s favorite prayer was the 23rd Psalm and she developed a deep devotion to the Eucharist, Sacred Scripture, and the Virgin Mary. Today, six groups of sisters can trace their origins to Mother Seton’s initial foundation.
