The last church on our this leg of our Faith on the Road travels in Ocala Florida takes us to Queen of Peace Catholic Church. Wow! This is an incredible building, worthy of being called a Cathedral though it isn’t. The Mass schedule includes a Traditional Latin Rite Mass on Sunday afternoon. The English Masses are beautiful complete with a Communion rail to kneel at to receive the Eucharist. The pastor, Father O’Doherty was fantastic. He is a very reverential priest who does not rush any aspect of the Mass. Of course, one would think a parish called Queen of Peace would be very Marian and you’d be right. Father’s homily included intercession to the Queen of Peace and their prayer with the intentions was the Fatima prayer.
All I can say is go to this church when you’re near Ocala. It is just off I-75 and we’ll worth the detour of your trip.
