Our last stop on the New England ‘Faith on the Road’ journey takes us to a little village in Vermont called Townshend. Our Lady of the Valleys Catholic Church is nestled back deep in the southern hills of Vermont.
This is a very quaint and rural Catholic Church led by Father Agnel Samy. Father Agnel chose to follow Christ more closely through the missionary society of Heralds of Good News. The main purpose and vision of this congregation is to send hardworking, zealous and saintly priests wherever there is need. His priestly life motto is “to become all things to all people” through the inspiration of St. Paul’s letter to 1 Corinthians 9:22.
The Sunday we attended Out Lady of the Valleys saw Mass celebrated by the co-founder of the Heralds of Good News. Beautiful Mass! Father Agnel showed himself as very passionate and well spoken.
