Faith on the Road – Our Lady of the Angels – Randolph VT

Spread the love

Our next stop with Faith on the road is in Randolph Vermont for Mass at Our Lady of the Angels. A quaint little parish church connected in grouping with the college at Norwich University. Rev. Father Scott A. Gratton, the pastor is a good young priest who serves as pastor for their three parishes, Norwich University, and as Chaplain for the Vermont Army National Guard. We had the privilege of attending Mass with their brand new priest, newly assigned this week, Father Brandon C. Schneider. Father followed his calling to diocesan priesthood leading him to his first assignment in this grouping. He gave a nice homily that wrapped in his bio very well.

Our Lady of the Angels Church was consecrated on January 27, 2008.

The altar displays a reproduction of a painting by William Adolphe Bouguereau (1825-1905), titled “The Virgin with Angels”, 1900 (oil on canvas).

The Virgin Mary is known by many names such as Our Lady, Mother of God, Queen of Angels, Blessed Virgin, Mother Mary, Mary of Sorrows, and Queen of the Universe. The Mother of Angels is the patron saint of the people on Earth; she watches over them in a very motherly manner just as she did with her son – Jesus Christ. Our Lady of the Angels makes herself available to all people. She sprinkles her unconditional love and light onto people to help guide them onto the right path. Your guardian Angel is uplifted by her and honors her. Talk to your guardian Angel to know and honor her better.
