We find ourselves celebrating Mass at a small, rural Catholic Church in Candler Florida – north of The Villages. Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church was the flip side in many ways to last week’s Faith on the Road church. This church was small and sparsely attended for the 10:30 AM Mass. The choir was small with half being young teen-ish children.
Going to to different church every weekend, Connie and I are always excited and surprised at the range of churches to which God takes us to celebrate Mass. Big, small, quiet, vibrant, aged and young. The type of people are as varied as the stars and the priests from all around the globe bring the Eucharist to us.
Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church was celebrated by a priest from Kenya in whom one could sense a spirit of joy and passion in the Lord.
Our mother is a lovely hostess wherever our Road of Faith journeys take us. Look for her – she’s always there to help point you to her Son. Or, when needed, carry you.
Thank you for taking us everywhere with you!
“With patience I can do all things in Him who strengthens me [Phil 4:13] through the dear hands of the Immaculata… I can even become a saint. Courage, then, and go forward in patience and loving faith.”
