Back to Mission – stop 2
God works always and in wild ways. Last week, we went to see the Campbell’s at Corpus Christi in St. Augustine. This is the church, 4 years ago that God told us to visit a different church each weekend, and to trust He will guide us.
The following Sunday, God guided us to Holy Family in Gainesville. Very nice grounds with great places of prayer. The pastor was awesome. But, what really blew us away was the paper they gave us as we entered. Their Lenten Mission starts in just two days later. And, Father Alar of the Marian Fathers would be the speaker. He flies into Jacksonville for a single talk, then comes to Holy Family Tuesday and Wednesday for a Divine Mercy Lenten Mission. Father Alar is enough to attract us, we watch many of his talks on YouTube and EWTN. But, a Divine Mercy focused Mission multiplies the awesome a thousandfold.
Then, during Mass, God spoke to me. “I arranged this for you.” WOW! With that blessing from Jesus, He reminded me that our mission was defined at Corpus Christi but our RV journey and mission began in full in Stockbridge at the Shrine of Divine Mercy.
Back to back God presents to us a recapture and setting of our mission. We’ve been praying, asking God to help us discern the next steps of our mission. He’s been sharing a lot lately. But, this reminder of the foundations of our mission in back to back churches in just one week’s time…wow. Our foundational mission is the visits to different Catholic Churches for Mass each Sunday. And, the very specific prayers we pray at each Church after Mass are a huge part of what God has asked of us. We pray a Prayer to St. Michael the Archangel, The Flame of Love Unity Prayer and a Hail Mary Unity Prayer at each Church.
