A special and unexpected edition of our Faith on the Road journey brings us to a special treat near Hilton Head Island at St. Gregory the Great. This is a large and active community with a Spanish population. Following Good Friday service and veneration of the cross, attending by a full church of several hundred, the Spanish community put on a Living Stations of the Cross. This was an outstanding rendition of the Stations. I’ve never seen one to rival it. All in Spanish except the prayers which the priest did in both English and Spanish. It didn’t matter what language – it was fantastic. The beauty of the Catholic Church – she needs no translation to be drawn in and lifted up.
