Faith on the Road – A New Home?

Spread the love

My wife and I are proceeding through a new trek on our Road of Faith journey. We are prayerfully considering settling down in our Florida RV site for the long-term. This comes with thoughts of where to settles in a new Church home?

We are prayerfully asking the Holy Spirit to guide us tthrough the process. Father Pivonka spoke of discerning with the Holy Spirit. So, we have asked for His guidance on this next step and what lies ahead. We want only to give God glory and do His Will.

Sometimes this isn’t easy. Like selecting a new Church home. Four or five stand out in the area – within an hour travel at least. Each brings very strong blessings and opportunities within its walls and community.

Discerning God’s Will can be very difficult when the choices are all goods. It’s not like discerning to give to the needy or rob a bank. Discerning between goods is more difficult as any decision is right and good in itself. God will be pleased that a soul discern and strive to do His Will, considering His desires over self. But, this doesn’t make it easier for the discerning soul striving only for God’s Will in his life.

So we look at ‘Queen of Peace’, ‘Holy Family’, ‘St. William’ and ‘St. Luke’ to start and ask God to guide our decision that what we decide upon is His Will for our lives and this next phase in our Road of Faith.

See prior posts of each of these beautiful Churches – all different but all bring Jesus in the Eucharist and Mass.
