For the next Road of Faith post, we drive 95 miles to visit St. John the Evangelist in St. John, Indiana for Sunday Mass. Sunday Mass at SJE was just the start of a truly ‘wow. God is awesome!!!” day. Following Mass we met the guitarist and his wife – he is the architect of the church. They gave us great ideas and guidance for our day. We marveled at the church and offered prayers for each of you at the feet of our Lady. We walked along the Shrine of Christ’s Passion, connected by its path with St. John the Evangelist. This will be a 3-part series, ending Friday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church.
The start of these grounds is with the huge in statue of ‘Our Lady of the New Millennium”. This monument is a powerful image in our increasingly visual culture. At more than 33′ tall, this serene, stainless steel four-ton beauty will inspire you.

Then the path takes you to Mt. Sinai, with Moses and the Ten Commandments.

Then, to the Last Supper…

And the Garden of Gethsemane…can you maintain the vigil?

The next steps transport you to Pilate’s condemning of Jesus… are you in the crowd. Trying to crucify Jesus? Sadly, I am…

Then, up the path, along the Stations of the Cross…
