At the heart of the Shrine of The Divine Mercy in Kraków-Łagiewniki stands the chapel where the miraculous image of Merciful Jesus and the tomb of St. Faustina are to be found. This small church, consecrated in 1891 and dedicated to St. Joseph, was built within the complex of the convent of the Sisters of Our Lady of Mercy and once served only the Sisters and their wards.
A white marble coffin with the relics of St. Sister Faustina rests on the altar below this image, and one relic has been placed in a marble prie-dieu before the altar, for the convenience of pilgrims wishing to venerate her and ask for her powerful intercession through prayers to The Divine Mercy.

I knelt before the image and St. Faustina, kissed her relic and bowed my head in prayer. I begged God to heal my daughter from her kidney disease and Lupus. Jesus answered simply by raising my eyes. “Jezu Ufam Tobie”, “Jesus I trust in You.” I knew this statement was His affirmation to my soul. Jesus was answering me with my own heart. Yes, Lord, You know I do trust You! His answer was simple – trust Me! He didn’t say “yes I’ll heal her” or “no”, Jesus answered by simply saying “trust Me.”
As I walked away I heard a voice I knew to be St. Faustina who asked, “Will you accept me as your patroness?” Dah! Yes! Then she added, “join me as an apostle of mercy”
When you bring your greatest needs to God, focus on this answer that Jesus added to the image for you – “Jesus, I trust in You.” Let your prayer be “I trust You, Jesus in all things. I give over my fears, and worries in this moment to Your Will. I trust You to know my needs and handle them to the Glory of the Father. Jesus, I trust in You.” When you fully trust in Jesus, it doesn’t matter what His answer is, yes/no, silence. It’s all the right answer, His Will be done.
